Injury Claims Reports Deal

Added - 14/06/2007

Following years of logger head and constant arguments from insurance companies over inflated costs for injury claims reports there does appear to be light at the end of the tunnel but will that light disburse with the intervention of legislation.

There was big news in the injury claims sector last month when a breaking deal clinched between AMRO (Association of Medical Reporting Organisations) and a large panel of insurance companies was finally agreed establishing fixed rates for injury claims reports, something the CJC (Civil Justice Council) has been pursuing for over five years.

Whilst this is great news for a beleaguered sector it still remains a private commercial deal which could be smashed with the intervention of legislation. Many insiders believe the private deal is significant in finalising a long running battle that has seen numerous court cases halting the administration of justice for the innocent parties, those people who genuinely want to get compensation through legitimate injury claims.

The injury claims reports companies are happy for the moment with agreements on the current deal but it might be a little too early to crack the champagne just yet.
