In recent times changes have been made to the claims process intended to tidy up accident management companies and compensation services in general.
The introduction of the Ministry of Justice has indeed placed some form of regulation on the industry and yes many unscrupulous accident management companies have hit the wall and left the scene due to their failure to register as legitimate providers of compensation services.
As with many lucrative industries however there is now a growing number of a new form of 'lead' provider, an entity that once again in the majority are just turning out to be chancers and con-men.
Using data from all kinds of sources these people are cold calling the public out of the blue about a number of issues and leading them down the path of investigating whether they have been involved in anything that might turn out to be a compensation claim.
Completely inexperienced some of these call centre employees are more often than not feeding members of the public what can only be termed inaccurate bullshit in order to convince them they have solid grounds to make a personal injury compensation claim and they inform the poor person that their personal details will be referred to a professional compensation services solicitor who will take their case on completely free of charge with no strings.
We have heard of cases where people have been asked if they had 'ever' had a car crash. Those who replied yes were then told 'you would definitely have had a whiplash then'. Many people who were then referred for a whiplash compensation claims turned out to be completely unsuitable.
